How We Handle It
Pre-Packing Survey
Our team assesses cargo at your premises — dimensions, weight, fragility, value, and destination. A packing plan and material list is prepared.
Materials & Crate Design
Custom wooden crates are designed and built to cargo dimensions. Internal padding materials selected: foam, bubble wrap, dunnage bags, VCI film, or custom moulded inserts.
Professional Packing
Trained packers wrap, pad, and load cargo into containers or crates. Fragile items handled with specialist techniques. Photos taken at each stage for insurance records.
Fumigation (if required)
Wooden packing materials require ISPM-15 fumigation certification for international shipments. We arrange treatment and provide fumigation certificates.
Marking & Labelling
Packages are marked with handling instructions, destination, gross/net weight, and any required hazmat or regulatory labels. Bill of lading numbers applied.
Loading & Collection
Packed goods are loaded onto the nominated transport and collected from your premises. For relocations, we manage the full chain to the destination address.

International Compliance
ISPM-15 — Fumigated Wood Packaging
ISPM-15 (International Standards for Phytosanitary Measures No. 15) is the international standard for treating wooden packaging material used in international trade. All wooden crates, pallets, and dunnage used in international shipments must carry the IPPC mark confirming ISPM-15 treatment — otherwise customs at the destination may refuse entry or order treatment at the importer's expense.
Pivot arranges ISPM-15 compliant crating and provides fumigation certificates with every international wooden crate. This is included in our export packing service — no surprises at the border.

For international shipments of heavy, fragile, or high-value items, wooden crates offer superior protection. For general commercial cargo in good packaging, export-grade cardboard and palletisation is usually sufficient. We assess and recommend the right packing level at the pre-packing survey.
ISPM-15 is the international standard for treating wooden packing materials. Any wooden crate or pallet leaving Saudi Arabia for an international destination must carry the IPPC fumigation mark. Pivot's crates are ISPM-15 compliant as standard.
Yes — we have experience handling antiques, fine art, sculptures, and museum pieces. Specialist materials including acid-free tissue, custom foam inserts, and climate-controlled crating are available. We also coordinate with insurance assessors for high-value items.
For corporate office moves, 3–4 weeks' notice allows us to plan properly and minimise business disruption. For household moves, 2–3 weeks is ideal. International relocations need more lead time for export customs and shipping arrangements.
